In theory any M.2 2260 drive should work, SATA III or PCIe. So you could try out this 512GB SATA III drive if you don’t mind sacrificing speed for storage space. The newly announced Crucial MX200 should be available in a 500GB M.2 2260 according to their specs.

Where did you find that program? Can you please post a link here? I also use a Zbook 15, and sometimes the fan is on unnecessarily. Thank You!

Hello, thank you for posting this.

What tool do you use to control the fan speed?

Are they also working on their 4k support too? I tried multiple AMD cards and none of them worked for 4k. I wasn’t using the highest end cards released but I don’t have to with nvidia. I’m currently running a GTX 750 and it will do my 4k 30hz screens just fine, only uses 35 watts at low use/idle, and has 4 display connections.

It will be very interesting to see what AMD actually does to stay in the competition.

    Have they ever supported G-sync?
The problem is that you need a PCB with controllers and stuff to do the G-Sync magic on notebook displays. So far I havent seen any notebooks with that. Who knows, maybe someone will add it this year?

You obviously haven’t actually touched one, have you? This is your regular type mobile phone “glass”. It flexes. Feels just like on my Note 2, but seems flimsier when you tap it with your finger. Even if it was as strong as Gorilla Glass, people still put screen protectors on those, as they can’t handle hard stuff like sand and gravel. Also, it’s a watch. You’ll slam it into something eventually, more likely quite frequently. Nowhere do Sony advertise the screen material. A few places it says scratch resistant. If it was tough, like Gorilla Glass (with its inherent weaknesses), Sony, like Samsung, would use it in their advertisement. I’ve ordered atFolix screen protectors on amazon.de (slightly cheaper than amazon.co.uk, for some reason, shipping to Denmark. I ordered it 2 months ago, got auto-cancelled due to some 30 day policy thing, so reordered. They keep postponing it over and over again. If it continues like this, I wonder if I’ll even have it before Christmas. If you’re in the US, consider Skinomi Techskin or iLLumiShield, which are both good from reviews I’ve read, but shipping to Europe is $17! Hence the “if you’re in the US” comment

Personally, I’d go for the capacity you need. If 1 TB is going to be sufficient, I’d go for the Hitachi. If you think you’ll need more go for 2x 1 TB’ but I wouldn’t raid them personally.

The more physical storage subsystem components, the better. Just a matter of logically using them so that their combined performance is additive, not subtractive to the workflow you have intended for them.

With 2x 2.5″ 7mm drive options available – I would be tempted to put aside any M.2 options we currently have available (if heat, and sustained speeds are concerns at all vs. a 2.5″ SSD option) and go for a 2.5″ SSD and a 2.5″ HDD.

The Hitachi Travelstars are the best you can get for the most balanced HDD option for the last decade or more.

With your torrenting biased workflow, consider two 1TB SSD’s (SanDisk Extreme Pro’s or Samsung 850 Pro) with a 30% OP on the O/S drive and a 50% OP on the data/torrent drive. You’ll need to have an external HDD to save the torrents to, but this setup won’t slow you down. 🙂

dispensing bad advice, really. so you decide my post is bad advice pointing the OP to the correct place to ask for advice on a mouse.

the header of the gaming thread where we are posting now says ”

    Gaming (Software and Graphics Cards)

Talk about games and mobile graphics cards here.

the header of the link i posted in my first post says ”

    Accessories

Mice, backpacks and other external peripherals forum.

so i am pointing the OP to the correct place to post where he would get more replies instead of stupid of topic posts like ours. sorry i meant yours but then of course i have every right to reply.
i hold my hands up and must say it should have read “you need to post this in the accessories sub thread where you will get more replies” but as i was at work and just typing it out i had an emergency crash call (heart attack) so i just hit post quickly and left my computer to try and help save someones life. think that took priority.

so my sig is advertising is it. in a way yes, and in a way no.
i buy a computer so i show what computer i have which is what a signature is for.
    oh look, so do you.

everything else in my sig is to help other forum members ie. monitoring, free burning and nvidia graphics.

so a simple question before we go back on topic is

    whats your problem?

I own a Razer Naga Hex and I recommend it fully. 6 side buttons (Perfect for all DOTA 2 items or spells on one hand) and the mouse itself is well built. It replaced my aging Naga Pro (The 12 button one) – I really only play DotA 2 and it’s done quite well.
